Join Greg Bridges of Point of View Custom Framing for a nice Saturday afternoon inside Joyce Gordon Gallery as he shares his point of view on the importance of framing and samples styles of framing in time for the holidays and throughout the year.
Sample discussions include how framing enhances the way that the image(s) look and a key role in it plays in protecting the artwork or documents, etc. Some frames can even mean that the value of the artwork inside goes up when placed in it. The right frame is an extension of the piece of art that it sits around and should enhance and augment it. In addition to these virtues, the right frame can influence how the viewer perceives and values the art and other documents.

My name is Derick Davies, I am an 11th grade visual artist who attends Oakland School for the Arts. I also play varsity basketball at Mcclymonds high school. When I was in kindergarten I was heavily inspired by cartoons, books, and movies and that helped create my love to make my own art. After I enrolled at OSA in middle school my art skills vastly expanded for the better, as throughout my years to 11th grade I’ve been taught by some of the best visual artists teachers in the world. I was introduced to so many materials and techniques and my ability to make art has grown as a whole.
